What I’ve learned in life is that we have no testimony to share with others without experiencing trials and testing ourselves. Our testimony does not come from hearing about someone else’s struggles. It only comes when we face life’s hardships personally, sometimes profoundly.
“Blessed is the man who perseveres under trials.” James 1:12 (NIV)
Trials teach us obedience, trust, and spiritual maturity. They strengthen our faith and deepen our relationship with God. Instead of running from trials, we should rejoice in them. Often, trials reveal weaknesses within us that we overlook or fail to see.
“Endure hardships as discipline.” Hebrews 12:7 (NIV)
Trials open the door to God’s blessings because He is faithful to deliver us. Receive your trials with joy. Pray for wisdom and trust that God will answer. “In this world you will have trouble.” John 16:33 (NIV)
Trials test our resilience and reveal the immaturity in our faith. God allows trials not to break us but to strengthen us and draw us closer to Him.
“Do not be surprised at the fiery trials that have come on you to test you.” 1 Peter 4:12 (NIV)
Through trials, God shows us our weaknesses and the sin within us. He entrusts us with challenges so that we can be a light to others, showing our dependence on Him as we endure. These moments can be difficult but often become some of the sweetest times with God in our lives.
When God allows trials and testing to come, and He will, stand firm in your faith. Stay in Scripture. Seek Him with all your strength. Grow through the process. If you miss this opportunity, you may miss the chance to become all that God wants you to be.
Lean into Him. He is waiting for you.
