Tecia has a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Point University and has been teaching and leading women in ministry for twenty five years. Tecia was ordained into Women’s Ministry by Southwest Christian Church and is a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor under AACC. Tecia’s specializations include: Women, Students, Mental Health, Marriage and Family Systems, Relationship Conflict, Grief and Loss, Spiritual Discipleship. Tecia also taught at a private school for ten years where she was able to counsel students and teachers in their struggles and in their spiritual walk. Tecia is passionate about equipping women with the Word of God and guiding them to a personal and contagious faith. Tecia’s desire is to let people share their story, find purpose through it, and find Jesus in it. Tecia and her husband have been married for almost 30 years. They have treasures time with her family and friends, keeping her granddaughter, teaching Bible Study, traveling, and is always up for a good southern glass of sweet tea!
Mary Hand is a child of God that once struggled with drug addiction and alcoholism. She has been clean and sober for 37 yrs. Mary is a mother of four and grandmother of four with two more on the way. She is a retired Radiology Technologist that worked at Piedmont Newnan for 27 yrs. Mary has been married for 35 years. She is an active member of Newnan City Church and helps facilitate their prayer team. Mary is accredited under AACC as a Board Certified Biblical Counselor with specialized training as a Mental Health Coach. Mary's specialties are addiction and recovery, crisis and trauma, grief and loss. Mary also teaches classes on boundaries and anger management and various Bible Studies.
Karen Turley has served in full-time ministry as a pastoral counselor and support group leader since 2000. She has worked primarily with women and teen girls navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, addiction, and relationship struggles. Karen came to know Christ at the age of 25, after many years of searching for identity apart from the truth. Now, she is passionate about helping others see themselves through the eyes of their perfect Father and live in the fullness of their true identity. Karen has been married since 1996 and is the proud mother of two adult children. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Human Services. Karen is also a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor under AACC, with specialized training as a Mental Health Coach with a focus on teens and children, marriage and family,
Kristy has a passion for helping others discover purpose and hope in the midst of pain, walking alongside clients as she points them to the healing and truth found in Christ. With professional training in clinical mental health counseling and a specialization in marriage, couple, and family therapy, Kristy offers a compassionate and holistic approach that integrates clinical expertise with biblical Truth to walk alongside clients toward healing and restoration. Kristy has led women’s Bible studies and co-led couples’ small groups with her husband. She is passionate about creating safe spaces for growth, connection, and faith. In her free time, Kristy enjoys spending time with her family and cherishing everyday moments.
Andra Pape serves as the Content and Curriculum Coordinator for Choosing Him Ministries, faithfully serving since 2021. Through the Anchored Truth Podcast, she engages listeners in honest conversations about the hard topics Christians face today, encouraging believers to find hope, healing, and truth in God’s Word. In addition to hosting, Andra contributes as a blog editor and supports the ministry’s outreach initiatives. She loves being part of a nonprofit that pours into women, helping them connect more deeply with God, His Word, and one another. With the recent opening of the Choosing Him Counseling Center, her heart for ministry continues to grow as she helps bridge faith and practical support. Whether through podcasting, community outreach, or everyday ministry work, Andra’s desire is to be the hands and feet of Jesus, spreading the gospel and reminding everyone that they are dearly loved and pursued by the God of the universe.
Jenni Peters serves as the Executive Administrative Assistant for Choosing Him Ministries, where she combines her love for organization with a heart for people. A pastor’s daughter and lifelong ministry worker, Jenni has served as a youth pastor and church administrator, always finding joy in creating spaces where ministry runs smoothly and people feel seen, valued, and loved. In addition to her administrative work, Jenni owns an event planning business and thrives on bringing order and creativity to every project. She is detail-oriented, a team player, and passionate about supporting the ministry so it can operate efficiently and effectively. Jenni has been blessed with a husband of 32 years, three adult children, and one grandchild. Highly family-oriented, Jenni treasures time with loved ones and believes that laughter, fun, and joy are essential parts of life. Whether coordinating ministry operations, planning events, or supporting the team behind the scenes, Jenni’s heart is to serve faithfully, encourage others, and help Choosing Him Ministries run smoothly so that every woman who engages with the ministry feels supported, valued, and loved.
Kayla Whittle is a Licensed Pastor and Board-Certified Christian Counselor with over twelve years of experience in the counseling field. She holds a Master’s in Professional Counseling from the University of West Georgia and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Community Counseling at Liberty University. Kayla specializes in working with adolescents and adults, addressing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, career transitions, trauma recovery, stress management, suicidal ideation, premarital counseling, and marriage and family systems. Her passion lies in integrating evidence-based mental health practices with the wisdom of the Bible to guide clients toward healing and self-discovery. Kayla’s goal is to help individuals gain a deeper understanding of their pain, personality, purpose, and experiences—while strengthening their relationship with their Savior. She equips clients with tools for lasting transformation and emotional resilience that will carry them through life. Outside of her professional work, Kayla enjoys spending time with her family and friends, singing on the worship team at GO Church, and reading.
Jim is the founder and CEO of Hospitalogic, specializing in re-engineering and managing hospital patient care processes. He has extensive experience in hospital operations, physician recruiting, and medical practice management, including reopening and operating several community hospitals. His background also includes leadership roles in healthcare investment banking and developing clinical software in partnership with the Mayo Clinic. Jim holds a Bachelor’s in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech and attended the graduate finance program at Georgia State University.
Kim Harman serves on the Board of Directors for Choosing Him Ministries and has been involved with CHM since its beginning in 2017. She counts it a joy to support the founder’s mission of helping people grow in their faith and find hope through Biblical counseling. Kim’s heart for ministry reflects a deep love for God’s Word and a desire to see people experience healing and transformation in Christ. Kim is grateful to be part of a ministry that points to Jesus and encourages people to walk boldly in their faith.
